There’s been a distinct lack of festive glamour with the covers of our fave fashion glossies throughout the month of December this year. For instance, British ELLE chose to serve up a 90s fashion revival with Rosemary Ferguson and Vogue Germany is part of the clique who opted to forgo even the slightest hint of glamour with their December 2023 offering also. In the process, the German fashion bible embraces Greta Hofer as their final cover girl of the year. The Austrian model who walked just about every major fashion show during the recent Spring 2024 season (including the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior), gazes down the lens of photographer Julia Noni. Dressed by stylist Ondine Azoulay, Greta dons a Chanel jacket in the sleek and minimalist cover shot.

“Beautiful cover!” declared forum member MModa upon checking out the cover.

Also very much a fan of the outcome was oaklee91, commenting: “Loving it!”

Yet not everyone was so overjoyed at the sight of the cover. “Far too dreary, lifeless and sterile for my taste. Once again, I find myself utterly dumbfounded how there’s just zero sense of joy with these December covers. It’s the holiday season! Where’s the fun, where’s the glamour, where’s the art of dressing up? Goodness!” expressed a disgruntled vogue28.
